Former Big Brother Naija housemate Anita Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, has officially set two Guinness World Records for the most cosmetic makeovers performed in fixed time frames.

On 11 October 2025, Tacha completed 82 makeup transformations in 8 hours, according to Guinness World Records.

She didn’t stop there — over the course of 24 hours, she went on to perform 144 cosmetic makeovers, smashing the previous record for the same category.

The world-record attempt took place at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History in Lagos, as part of her three-day Tacha Beauty Festival.

According to Guinness, each makeover had to meet strict criteria: every person received foundation, concealer, blush, two eyeshadows, mascara, lip liner and gloss, finishing powder, and eyebrow styling.

Tacha said she felt deeply emotional when the confirmation came through. In an Instagram message, she credited her achievement to “grace, persistence, and the unwavering support” of her fans and team.

Her efforts were not without challenge: she battled a nine-hour storm that disrupted the event and multiple power outages during the 24-hour session.

For Tacha, breaking these records is symbolic. She described her journey as one of resilience, creativity, and the belief that “African women deserve global recognition.”

Guinness World Records formally recognised her on 12 November 2025, making her the first Nigerian to break two Guinness titles in one sitting.
