What story from your life needs to be told?

Culture Narratives, a new quarterly publication from The Moveee, is officially open for submissions for our debut issue.

We believe that lived experiences are more than just memories—they are vital intellectual contributions to our global cultural archive. We are looking for personal narratives that explore the intersection of the individual and the collective, bridging the gap between personal history and universal truth.

What We Are Looking For

We invite voices from across the globe, with a particular interest in stories navigating the complexities of heritage, migration, and the diaspora. We are seeking long-form, first-person narratives (1,200 – 3,500 words) that are honest, reflective, and deeply human.

Themes of Interest:

  • Identity & Belonging: Navigating dual worlds or finding your place.
  • Ambition & Purpose: The evolution of your career or creative journey.
  • Economic Realities: Your relationship with money, class, and financial growth.
  • Modern Relationships: Love, family, and friendship through a cultural lens.
  • Transformation: Stories of faith, mental health, and resilience.
  • Cultural Encounters: How a specific book, film, or artwork reframed your life.
  • Events & Tradition: The intersection of ancient customs and modern living.

Note: We do not publish abstract opinion pieces or reviews. Your submission must be rooted in a personal narrative.

Submission Guidelines

To ensure your work is considered for our debut issue, please adhere to the following:

  • Word Count: 1,200 – 3,500 words.
  • Format: First-person personal narrative only.
  • Originality: We only accept original, previously unpublished work.
  • Deadline: April 10, 2026.
  • Submission Link: click here to submit

What We Offer

Selected contributors will join an exclusive community of storytellers and receive:

  • Honorarium: $10 (USD) per accepted piece for this issue.
  • Lifetime Membership: A complimentary lifetime subscription to the Culture Narratives digital platform, including permanent access to all member-exclusive content.
  • A Curated Space: Your work will be featured in a premium, distraction-free digital environment designed for immersive reading.
