With the support of Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and Nexus Productions, film director Kibwe Tavares developed an advert for Guinness to coincide with the debut of their Africa Special stout. The 80-second short video, which features musicians, models, and dancers from Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana performing to a Kuduro track, was released under the Alive Inside motto, which unifies Guinness’ ads across Europe. Using a blend of live-action and animation, the dancers’ movements create a pattern inspired by Ankara cloth that appears across the ground and walls.
