Paperworth Books Launches TripleCity Author Showcase Across Three Nigerian Cities

Stories transcend boundaries, traveling across people, places, and perspectives to create connections that resonate deeply.  On April 11, 2026, Paperworth Books will bring that vision to life with its TripleCity Author Showcase, a literary event unfolding simultaneously  in Abuja, Ibadan, and Port Harcourt.

At the heart  of the showcase are three authors, each presenting a distinct narrative while sharing a common commitment to exploring identity, culture, and the complexities of human experience.

In Abuja, Amaka Azie will unveil  Behind the Perfect Frame, a compelling exploration of the fractures hidden beneath seemingly flawless lives, exploring what lies beyond the surface when perfection cracks.

In Ibadan, Tobiloba Afolayan invites readers into Shina!, a bold retelling of the Samson and Delilah tale, where strength meets vulnerability, desire collides with destiny, and choices carry irreversible consequences. In Port Harcourt, Rosemary Okafor will share Field of Grace, a tender and faith-centered story inspired by the biblical tale of Ruth and Boaz, a narrative rooted in love, resilience, and the unexpected grace found in belonging.

The TripleCity Author Showcase offers more than just readings; it reflects Paperworth’s growing dedication to promoting African voices and stories that resonate  both locally and globally. Taking place just days before World Book and Copyright Day, the event also underscores the vital role storytelling plays in shaping culture, fostering connection, and preserving our shared humanity.

For readers, writers, and lovers of literature, it’s an opportunity to experience stories not just on the page, but in conversation, and community, bridging the physical distance between cities while celebrating the universal language of narrative.

Speaking ahead of the showcase, Ibiso Graham Douglas, founder and publisher of Paperworth Books, emphasised Paperworth’s unwavering investment in literary excellence. “We believe that when writers are given the tools, respect, and visibility they deserve, their stories travel across cities, across continents, across generations. Paperworth Books is determined to publish books that are not only beautifully crafted but also read,” she concluded
