Hilda Baci is About to Beat the Guinness World Cooking Marathon Record

Hilda Baci is a Nigerian chef, TV producer, actress and foodpreneur who is on a mission to break the Guinness world record for the longest cooking marathon. She started her cook-a-thon on May 11 at Amore Garden, Lekki Lagos, and plans to cook for 97 hours non-stop until May 14. That’s more than four days of continuous cooking!

The current record holder is Lata Tondon from India, who cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes and 00 seconds in 2019. Hilda aims to surpass that by making over 250 recipes from different cuisines and cultures. She says she has been preparing for this challenge for five years and wants to use it as an opportunity to showcase the positive stories that come from Africa through food.

Hilda’s cook-a-thon is being live-streamed on multiple social media channels, where viewers can watch her stir, mix and taste her dishes while being cheered on by her family, friends and fans. She also has a DJ and a hype man to keep her motivated and entertained. Guests are welcome to join her at the venue and participate in various side attractions.

Hilda is not only a talented chef but also a multi-faceted personality. She has produced several TV shows, acted in movies and runs her own catering business called FoodbyHilda. She is passionate about food and hopes to inspire other young people to pursue their dreams with courage and determination.

Will Hilda succeed in breaking the world record for the longest cooking marathon? We will find out soon enough. But one thing is certain: she has already made history as the first African to attempt this feat. We wish her all the best and hope she enjoys every moment of her cook-a-thon.
