South African Designers Shine at Soweto Fashion Week AW2026

Soweto Fashion Week (SFW) recently wrapped its Autumn/Winter 2026 season at the Soweto Theatre, presenting a dynamic three-day showcase of South African fashion. The event highlighted both new talent and established designers, emphasizing local creative expression and expanding its global reach.

Standout moments included collections from Originally Kasified Clothing, paying homage to denim and township culture, and a collaboration between textile designer Nobuzwe Mabona and Ayabulela ‘Aya’ Mzananda. SFW also announced the upcoming launch of the South African Fashion Association, an initiative aimed at unifying and advancing the national fashion sector.
