Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s latest novel, Dream Count, has been longlisted for the 2025 Women’s Prize for Fiction, announced on 4 March 2025. This prestigious £30,000 award celebrates excellence, originality, and accessibility in women’s writing.
The 2025 longlist features 16 authors, including notable names such as Miranda July and Elizabeth Strout, alongside nine debut writers. The selected works explore themes ranging from love and social pressures to politics and war.
The judging panel, chaired by author Kit de Waal, will announce the shortlist on 2 April 2025, with the winner to be revealed on 12 June 2025.
Adichie, who previously won the Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2007 for Half of a Yellow Sun, continues to be recognised for her compelling storytelling and insightful exploration of contemporary issues.
